Making the game faster

I've heard some players mention in the past that cleaning out your sims inventory will make the game operate faster with less loading screen time. Does anyone know if this is true. If you found this to be true or noticed any other changes after doing this, feel free to share your experience here.

The only way I know of to speed up the game, and not by much, is to get a SSD installed on your computer.

I not only upgraded to a nice SSD drive I also bumped my system up to 32 gigs of ram. I have a save I’ve been playing for years now and while keeping their inventory in check and also not over cluttering or having much for cc/mods I noticed a huge slowdown on my system prior to upgrade. I just got my pc back and that save now loads in a second or two. I have zero lag or stuttering,

    Best 500 bucks I’ve spent!

I also wanted to add, I don’t normally do this, and on top of that I have not played the game much lately but the new expack coming has renewed my interest. Just watched the live play with Graham!

@SimGuruGraham you are by far my fav and I’ve always loved your energy and the passion you bring to this game. Knowing you are the producer for this pack brought a smile to my heart because I’ve always felt you bring the extra special thing to the game I’ve always loved! Thank you so much! I’m so looking forward to this pack as I’m almost certain I will love it.
