marriage proposal question

There is no way for a non-active sim to propose to an active sim, right? My active sim is a female and I prefer the non-active male sim do the proposing and for my storytelling purposes, I don't want him to move into the house before they get married. I do not want the female to propose, doesn't look right. lol.

    If you have the MCC Mod you can set autonomous proposals on. I’ve never seen it in person, but I assume that is what it’s there for!

    Go to Manage Worlds, move the male NPC onto a lot if necessary, then choose his household as the one you will play. Make the proposal. Then go back to Manage Worlds, (mark his household as unplayed if you want), and select the female's household as the one to play.

    Yes I wish there was an action to "discuss marriage" that will later prompt your bf to propose. That would be nice so I dont have to manipulate the game in order for him to propose. Even worse in TS2 when there is a whole cinematic and your bf acts all girly accepting the ring...so awkward lol

    Yep, this works! I use MCCC and the non-active sim proposes to my active sim pretty often. They also autonomously ask to go steady a lot on their own. (My active sim also does the proposing/ask to go steady without my control a lot - i.e. I let them interact with their partner autonomously without choosing things for my sim to do.)

    Sometimes they do it right after going steady, other times it takes a little bit longer. But the timing is completely random and can happen at any time. It surprises and delights me every time it happens. :heart:

    The only thing I do for the male to propose is to actually play the male version and have them go to a place I want them to propose. Sucks but that's the only thing I've figured out to have the male propose.

    @aaronrulz If you use MCCC Control, you can make NPCs interact with other Sims. Just click on the NPC, go into the menu, choose the Sim you want them to interact with, and choose the interaction.
