"Marrying a sim in your employ would be innapropriate"

I had this issue. I checked and made sure that my Sim hadn't somehow opened a store without my knowledge and then I had her (him? I can't remember who) and it went just fine. Sorry if you've already tried more than once, but maybe looking at the business tab helped somehow? Dunno how I "fixed" it, exactly. I'm pretty sure I did it with the same Sim though, not the more jr one.
