Master Bedroom balconies

I like having an easel there, so the sims can look at the landscape and paint it. Sometimes, I'll put plants or a little garden up there, with a lot of flower decorations and some vines growing on the wall. Or maybe a little reading nook with a small book shelf.

It depends on the vibe of my sims. So, sometimes I'll just have a couple of lounge chairs, and maybe an easel. Sometimes I like to make a little tranquil space, where I'll make a little garden, some wall plants, and I like to put a yoga mat and meditation stool out there too,

Nothing special. Seating area, flowers, hanging flowers, lanterns, candles, chimes.

Yeah basically what @Gordy said! I like to make it cozy hobby building place. Here's a balcony I did off the bedroom of one of my tiny builds, obviously with a bigger house, you could have some more space to play around with too. I tend to favor a more rustic, earthy look for most of my builds, but balconies can have a variety of styles depending on your house!

I'd say depends on balcony
and sims using it

also climate cause its outdoors

usually i just add in any gameplay object that seems suitable and didn't fit in the house and add some sort of romantic or less romantic hang out area

often using laterns and candles for light

in previous games gameplay was often telescope but lmao not in size range anymore so maybe like easel or yoga or meditation or even just flower arranging table or gardening pots or perhaps sunbathing towel or kiddie pool or hot tub or bathtub or...

possibilities are endless
just treat it another room
or continuation of garden
place for your sims to greet morning and nightfall

A balcony can be used for a hobby or for relaxation. Gardening, yoga, sunbathing, painting, writing, reading, homework, kids' play area, knitting, drinking coffee or lemonade, clothes drying all can be done on a balcony. Since the balcony in questions if off the master bedroom, maybe you could use it as a hobby area for whoever uses that bedroom. If you have more space is good, if your sim has the earpods they could dance or exercise on the balcony.

Loungers, for private, nude sunbathing.

Hot tub, for an extra woohoo location.

Yoga mat/battle bot/punching bag for sporty sims.

Patio or space heater if they use the area in colder climes.

That looks more like a deck than a balcony. I like those spaces, too.

When I picture a balcony, it’s a practically useless 2x1 area, or 4x2 max. I wonder how much space the OP has. I don’t do anything useful with tiny 2x1 balconies, they’re for show and even an easel could look out of place. 4x2 would at least be big enough for a yoga mat, might need to use MOO but it should be fine. Or a meditation stool. Because they’re low enough to the ground they won’t take away from how the house looks. I would just keep an eye on them to make sure nobody is freezing to death out there in their workout clothes.

I put a single bed and outdoor shower sometime when my Sims want to sleep outdoor but have no backyard.
