Maxis going in wrong direction with expansion pack gameplay?

At first I was really excited for Snowy Escape mostly because of the setting/I grew up in Fernie, BC basically a ski resort town. Plus I love anime so it just works for me until I realized what lost ...

I feel like people are way too hard on The Sims 4. I love it and get excited for EVERY new pack. Everything adds more options and elements to my gameplay. Do I bowl a lot with my sims? no, but I like having the option. Maybe I'm easily pleased because I'm on console but I'm super excited when ANYTHING new is available. The next pack I would like to see is a royalty expansion!
