Maybe the "new Sims experience" could be optional multiplayer a la Stardew Valley.
definitely unrealistic but what would everyone's feelings about that be?

EA wanted a MMO originally and it did not workout. Players also expressed dissatisfaction at the idea of a forced online-multiplayer experience since then, so at the very most I could see something ala Sims Mobile multiplayer. However, there is no playing together there. Your interactions with friends aren’t simultaneous, or the same. You can make 2 sims enemies, but your friend could make them lovers. No connection between games other than a sim design, name, and traits. All in all I think Maxis could focus on better things for the PC game.
Totally agree. I will never buy another Sims online game or even download a free version either. I would have not even ever tried any of the Sims onlines had I not been invited to test the first one. Believe me all 4 were awful. I just will never get people wanting that. But I realize some people do like being connected with friends. Me, well if I want to see my friends - I go see them or invite them here. LOL.
Sims is not a good game for turning into an MMO. Limiting sims pc like that royally stinks in my view.
