Medieval themed game pack

Some players are familiar with the sims medieval, part of the sims franchise. Other players have never played the sims medieval but may have installed TSM to TS4 conversions of mods and custom content.

There are many players who enjoy historical themed gameplay. The get together, get famous, and vampire packs added some medieval style CAS and build mode items. Windenberg has a tudor style architecture. However, there is no pack that provides genuine historically accurate gameplay. These are my suggestions for a historically accurate medieval themed game pack.

  1. Add a new residential world that is free of all modern technology and is completely off the grid. That means no electricity, no computers, no cars, no televisions, and no cellphones. The world will feature items powered by natural gas, wood, coal, steam - engines, windmills, watermills, candles, and a new energy crystal collectible and crystal powered generator.
  2. Add new drive by animations to neighborhoods in the medieval world such as steam - powered trains, stagecoaches, and riders on horseback (no cars, trolleys, and subway trains). Sims will be able to access map travel menus via antique style bicycles (DU), horses (HR), stagecoach kiosks (BG) which will be available on all community lots, and from mailboxes available on any residential lot.
  3. In the new world, gas station and airport landmarks will be replaced with train station and stagecoach landmarks. Wind turbine landmarks will be replaced with windmill and watermill landmarks.
  4. Players will have the option to disable the phone UI menu and instead access these features from mailboxes and new IU objects. Examples include accessing social interactions on rotary and antique phones, telegraph machines, stationary objects (no computers), post office shells, and carrier pigeon kiosks.
  5. Add new medieval themed CAS items, build mode items, activities and workout equipment, and cooking recipes and drinks. Add an option in the setting menu that allows player to enable historically accurate career outfit replacements for NPCs and active careers. Add an option in the settings menu for players to enable historically accurate object replacements such as mail/bills, gifts, packages, spray bottles, mops, lighters, bug spray, etc.
  6. Add a new interaction to trees to allow sims to chow them down with an axe and collect firewood. The firewood is a required ingredient for lighting wood burning stoves, fireplaces, campfires, bonfires, grills, and any other historically accurate appliance. Dig sites will now spawn coal and energy crystals (alternative fuel sources).
  7. Add a new community bulletin board UI object, that can be placed on community lots, and allows sims to access certain UI menus. Features include finding/quitting jobs, purchasing businesses, moving/splitting household, planning vacations, posting ads for roommates, businesses, and lost pets, volunteering, donating to charity, writing to penpals, and browsing plopsy for sell flyers. Instead of sims receiving calls and texts for event notifications and club invites, they will receive letters and flyers in the mail or can check community bulletin boards for event notification flyers.
  8. Sims can purchase newspapers to learn view neighborhood story updates, see the weather forecast, read about local news, and read obituaries.
  9. Add an orphanage interactive shell, that sims can use to adopt children, pets, and rescue horses. It can also be used to place household pets up for adoption.
  10. Add more functionality to the friendly conversation menus. Information that would normally be found on a sim's social media timeline and via various phone apps can be learned by selecting options in the menus for gossip, interests, hobbies, and small talk.
  11. Sims can plan social events, wedding events, stayover events, and hangout events by using interactions available on mailboxes, post office shells, carrier pigeon kiosks, community bulletin boards, and a new decor item the "wooden box of invitations."
  12. Add a farmer's market interactive shell (that functions similarly to the chestnut ridge general store), where sims can purchase livestock animals, trade their livestock for meat, seeds, and ingredients (instead of waiting for them to arrive in the mail), sell livestock and horses, enter horse competitions, and purchase groceries (similar to the cottage living kiosks).
  13. Add a new social class system complete with new CAS traits, aspirations, preferences, lot traits, and lot challenges, whims, reward store traits, wants and fears, sentiments, and lifestyles. Sims will have access to certain interactions and receive various reactions and responses from NPCs based on their social status. A sim's social status can increase, or decrease based on their actions, lot value, household funds, and fame (if get famous is installed).
  14. The medieval pack will have cross compatibility with eco living and for rent. Windmill, watermill, crystal powered generator, and steam - engine objects will functional similarly to eco living wind turbines, dew collectors, power generators, and atmospheric condensers. Water mills and crystal powered generators will functional similarly to for rent water heaters and fuse boxes. Sims can access eco lifestyle features on a new historically accurate community voting board. Sims can still make juice fizz on a new historically accurate juice fizzing distillery, recycle using a new historically accurate recycling apparatus, and use a new historically accurate fabricator workbench.
  15. The medieval pack will also have cross compatibility with discover university. Students can attend university with new historically accurate university objects, join historically accurate clubs and sports teams, and attend historically accurate social events. In order to maintain continuity, there will be a new community venue type, community college. This will allow players to make a customizable university lot in the medieval world instead of having sims travel to Britechester. NPC professors will spawn on the lot and hold lectors at a podium object. Students can attend rabbithole skill classes, office hours, tutoring sessions, and sporting events using new historically accurate UI objects. Students will give presentations on historically accurate presentation boards, write term papers of stationary objects, receive a parchment style degree (accessible via a toggle function in the settings menu), participate in new historically accurate clubs and sports (cricket team and literature club). The research and debate skill will function normally and sims will have access to a new historically accurate debate podium and research archives (encyclopedia book object). There will be a new historically accurate cafeteria station and historically accurate juice keg (mead/juice barrel). Sims can play ping pong on wooden pin pong tables and play juice pong with tankards of mead/juice. The robotics skill and career will function normally, but with new historically accurate objects. Sims can craft robots and servos on a new historically accurate robotics crafting workbench. Robots and servos will need to be recharged using energy crystals instead of electricity. Players will have the option to toggle off the computer engineer branch (via the settings menu) and instead enable a new career branch, steampunk engineer. This branch will consist of crafting steam engines and crystal powered generators at a new historically accurate workbench and drafting designs and creating new modules to add upgrades to steam engines and crystal powered generators.
  16.  The medieval pack will have cross compatibility with get to work. Sims can own retail stores and ring up customers at a new historically accurate coin purse register. Sims can bake cupcakes on a new historically accurate wood burning baker's station. Sims can enter the scientist career and make inventions with new historically accurate lab equipment. Sims can enter the detective career and conduct investigations using new historically accurate forensic equipment. Sims can enter the doctor career and treat patients with new historically accurate hospital equipment.
  17. The medieval pack will have cross compatibility with high school years. Sims can attend high school with new historically accurate school items, join historically accurate after school activities, and attend historically accurate school events. Students can join the fencing club, swim team, and archery cub. Students can attend the school fete event, complete with historical activities such as bobbing for apples, coconut toss, knife throwing, and tug of war. Students can attend a school dance (instead of prom). Historically accurate school items include chalkboards (instead of whiteboards), antique photo studio (instead of photobooth), bell (instead of loudspeaker), historically accurate cafeteria station, storage cupboard (instead of locker), gramophone stereo, and mead/juice cask (instead of drink fountain).
  18. Add new historically accurate items for compatibility with various packs such as espresso machines and grinders, drink trays, pool ladders, rope ladders, playground equipment, spa equipment, pet items, and off the grid kitchen appliances such as brick ovens for making pizzas, whisks for making prepped ingredients, an ice cream churn for making ice cream, a stove top waffle iron, stoneware cookpot (pressure cooker replacement), teapots and coffee pots, and a stovetop popcorn popper.
  19. Get famous added sword fighting via the dueling stage. However, the medieval pack should come with a genuine sword fighting skill that allows sims to train in and learn various sword fighting styles, duel with other sims, challenge sims to duel to the death, create sword fighting clubs, and craft swords via a new skill, blacksmith. The blacksmith skill will allow sims to use a forge to craft various swords, armor, shields, functional weapons (mace, lance, spear, etc), and other items and decor. Crafted items can be sold in the usual means (retail store, plopsy, sales table, from inventory). Sims can also train and duel with new master swordsman NPCs. Weapons can be used to attack sims via mean/mischief interaction menus. Armor and shields can be worn by sims and will protect them from taking damage. Lances can be used by sims for a new activity, jousting. Jousting will allow sims to duel on horseback, when a lance is equipped, in a special dueling arena. Jousting will use the fitness skill. Jousting battles can result in injury or death if sims don't have a high enough fitness skill rank and isn't wearing protective armor. Horses may also be injured or killed in jousting matches if they aren't equipped with protective armor. The pack will also include new weapon and armor racks for display weapons and armor when they are nor equipped.
  • Id rather have a sequel to Sims Medieval than a Dragon Valley type world for TS4

  • Yep yep, using the Medieval Windenburg mod for my Save.  Too bad it hasn't been updated in awhile.  That's the problem with relying on mods for gameplay.  Life gets in the way and modders stop creating or updating their mods and we're all left to settle with the remains or find something new.

Definitely a Game Expansion but regardless, I'd pay!  Idk why they keep wasting time with little Kits n stuff.  Most of it is CAS stuff which is so easy to get for free.  I'd say that 90% the time the only reason why I buy a Pack/Kit etc is because someone's made a Build/Save or Mod that requires said content and I really want it. Also, let's be honest most of the time buying a pack requires a bunch more mods to fix or make the new content playable so it's gotta be worth it, yk.

I've played The Sims Medieval and although it's pretty cool it's old now and just doesn't have enough to keep me going back.  The Sims 4 Community deserves a Medieval Pack after all the time (my 5000 + hours, don't judge me lol) and money we've spent on the game and you can see just by the amount of content people have made online that it'd be a Win/Win for everybody!

It's a shame they didn't add more to the Castle Kit cuz I feel like EA put it out as a feeler, like if a lot of people bought it then they'd be more likely to release more Historical Content but it's not enough.  We need more than just Exterior Items, it's such a tease lol.  Sigh

  • Sounds like an expensive Game Pack but seeing as how I just spent the last week downloading content and trying to set up the game so I could play a Medieval themed save, I'd pay for it LMAO.  I was hoping they would of by now but all they released was some Castle Kit.  Disappointing

Yes, it really doesn't make since. EA likes to have pieces scattered around in packs instead of a centralized theme in one pack. For instance, get together came with windenberg, which has tudor - style architecture. Except for the modern wind turbines throwing off the atmosphere, it is as close to a medieval world as we're going to get. A modder made a mod to turn windenberg into a medieval world using default replacements and overrides, but it's a large mod. The castle kit and the victorian style items in the vampire pack, also contribute to the historical atmosphere. However, a full pack with off the grid items and historically accurate careers and CAS items would be nice.
