"Mermaid" Swimming?

Mermaids have their own swimming style which is different from human sims. But essentially they're still swimming on the surface of the water, no deep diving.

Mine swims like fish barely jumping in and out of the water, arms stretched out in front of them. If they're only going a very short distance, like when they check their fish traps, they do ordinary breast strokes.

How is the mermaid style different? She looks just the human sim swimming, it even looks like she has legs paddling the water inside her tail

I have seen some reports of bugs with Sims swimming in the ocean, like swimming on top of the water rather than in it. I am not sure if you are experiencing anything but you could try looking at a few videos of mermaids swimming to see if yours is swimming correctly or if it is a bug/glitch.

they have their own swim style, but sometimes will still swim similar to humans (pulling forward with their arms and bending the tail), especially short distances.

but then there's also a bug where they walk on top of the water lol.

I also see feet poking out from the tail. Guessing its a graphical/mesh problem. Haven't checked AHQ to see if that's been reported or not. To be honest I spend almost as much time at AHQ as I do in game. :#

NOT seen them walk ON the water yet! :D
