Mermaid won't hydrate

This just happened after a couple of hours playing... when she became pregnant now that I think of it. I tried looking this up on the internet, but all that came up was Sims 3. My male mersim hydrates properly whether in the tub or ocean, but my female always has the dehydrated buff even though her need is full. Anyone else having this issue? I do have mods, but this happened once she became pregnant.

  • Yes, I had this issue, however it just randomly happened on the first mermaid sim I created in CAS. She wasn't pregnant, and her hydration need bar was full, but the dyhyrdrated uncomfortable moodlet wouldn't go away. It was so annoying that I removed her from that save and played a different human sim in that save for a while. Interestingly though, I started a new save today, pulled that same first mermaid sim from my library, and she isn't having any issues. So I'm sorry that I don't know how to solve that issue for you, but I do empathize. :(
  • That happened to me too. Have you tried traveling off the lot? It went away for me when I got her hydration up and traveled.

I had it pop up but, as mentioned above, mine went away with traveling to a different lot.
  • I saved and got off the game and upon returning the buff was gone. I have mixed feelings about others having the same issue, but since I'm not the only one I hope they patch it out soon.

Hi There :) I too am finding this issue with my mermaid; she's fine up until the moment I let her hydration slip, then after even though I get her fully re-hydrated, she still has the dehydrated buff. Yes, this cranky little buff does go away after travelling off the lot, which is thankful, but perhaps it might be time to mention this as a bug in EA Answers HQ, I am sure there will be others that will select 'Me Too'. I am currently playing with no mods in game.
