Playable mermaids should 100% have the OPTION To spend their whole lives under water should they so choose. Meaning all their needs need to be bale to be taken care of underwater. This is possible in sims 3 for the most part except energy.
Also, on land NPC mermaids should be very rare, and only in beach worlds. I don't want to see mermaids wandering the desert. Even in the water they should be rare.
This. I could understand if they do it on Winderburg Island but on lakes Willow Creek or even Oasis Springs? That would be quite different.
I hope we got an CAW tool so we can actually edit the existing worlds and add underwater world for them to exist if we chose to want to.- icemanfresh6 years agoLegendI think living underwater would be difficult to implement, unless the devs added a ton of underwater actions and interactions for mermaids. Although I can see the multitasking system help with this.
In the case of mermaids, the hunger need can be satisfied by catching and eating marine life. Bladder and hygiene (or hydration) aren't a problem. For energy, they would need some sort of sleeping underwater animation and maybe mermaid beds. Mersims could already talk underwater in TS3, plus the multitasking system in TS4 might enable most existing interactions to take place underwater. For fun, they would need to create a bunch of fun underwater activities so our mermaids don't get bored
If living underwater permanently were possible, I don't think it would be very fleshed out because all/most of the existing land furniture and architecture wouldn't work underwater, and the devs would only have enough time to create a suite of basic underwater objects. It would be like a whole different game altogether "Dannydanbo;c-17094644" wrote:
I hope merfolk got the Vampire treatment at least to some extent. I don't want all my mermaids to look like Ariel. I want some to look scary.
I know merfolk can swim underwater due to gills, but they don't live under water do they? I thought they lived in caves near the water or in hidden caves.
me to that would be so cool"ListentoToppDogg;c-17093871" wrote:
It's great that they're here for those who've been wanting them, but I hope they'll be a way to turn them off for those who don't want that kind of stuff.
Or just make them hard to encounter -- maybe some sort of hidden reef? That way you have to do some work to find them so easy to avoid if you don't want them. No random walkbys (or swimbys in this case). B)- Simplyobsessed16 years agoNewcomerMermaids are just about the least exciting thing about this pack

More like the plant sims or the Skeletons. Because if you look at the Aliens or the Vampires, they have different Plumbobs than Sims. This would be very very disappointed for me, if the Mermaids could not be real occults! :s
I HOPE NOT! I really want my Sim to become a mermaid forever! - I never play mermaid in TS3 so i don't have any expectation related to the gameplay. But i wonder how customizable their tails are. Can we make the tails like we make fur marking on pets?

Now I am amazed how a mermaid who was living underwater for their lifetime is wearing makeup :D :D
Durable make up and saltwater-resistant hair is a part of mermaid magic ✨ - annaliese396 years agoSeasoned AceYay! I was hoping for mermaids. I can't wait for my vampire to meet one!
- If they won’t be able to be created in CAS I’m suing EA.
