Midsummer Sale New Additions

With the current sale going on, I purchased the Backyard and Vintage Glamour Stuff packs, and First Fits and Country Kitchen kits.

Would like some feedback from other Simmers about what their favourite features/game play are from these packs.

Aww those are some great stuff packs! 😄

Romantic Garden: I love the flowers in Romantic Garden and the wishing well is fun too. My sims use it at times. The fountain is also a nice addition. The cas is okay. My favourite is the long hair. It is super pretty!

Nifty Knitting: Knitting is a fun hobby and I love that sims can teach it to others. The rocking chairs are great and I like to give the yarn ball to my cats to play with 😂 The cas is nice! There are some clothes that I really like, such as the kid's dress and the boots. I use Plopsy quite often, because it is a nice way to earn some simoleons.

  • I hope you have a lot of fun with the new packs.

I find the waterslide hard to place on residential lots, but they’re a great addition to pool lots.

Toddler stuff is a must for me. Toddlers don’t have enough clothing without it.  I tend to squeeze the toddler slide into my Sims, backyard if I can. Helps raise their mobility skill pretty fast. The other stuff tend to use at parks, libraries, and rec centers.

Knifty Knitting is probably one of my favorite packs. knitting is a great hobby. I don’t use Plopsy  all the time. But I sometimes don’t like to just sell things out of my inventory, so it gives me another selling option.

Hello evilyn_37 , you're right about waterslides, they're hard to fit on residential lots! Personally, I love placing one in a large park! 😉

    About the Stuff Packs:
Personally, I’d say the best ones are (in order):

    • Crystal Creations
    • Home Chef Hustle
    • Nifty Knitting
    • Laundry Day

I think these are the best because they add solid gameplay while also offering interesting Build/Buy or CAS features.

Besides these packs, I really appreciate Movie Hangout because I use the clothing and furniture all the time (and that popcorn machine!). Vintage Glamour adds a butler to your Sim family, which is a fun gameplay feature, but I appreciate it even more for the gooooorgeous furniture (that giraffe lamp is to die for!). And finally, Romantic Garden doesn’t add gameplay, but it does bring colorful flowers, enchanted stone garden furniture, and cute clothing that I use all the time on my Sims.

I have a question: does anyone here own the Moschino Stuff Pack? If so, what’s your take on the gameplay? Do you enjoy the photography career?

hi2hCreations, I hadn’t thought about updating any of the parks with the slide and some of the water splash objects from GrT. Do the Sims autonomous use the slides?

I think the size problem makes sense, though. It does not look like a thing a poor family would afford, or at least give priority. So, that only my families residing on rather spacious lots can find room for it never bothered me. I added it to a couple parks, and a random big lot family might add it temporarily, but even on a huge lot it might be a problem placing it, unless if it was built in from the start. Placing it n a flat roof terrace might be the easier way :)

  • I used to adore the butler concept. But playing rotationally, I discovered the butler service was charging my family also while I played other houses, meaning that their cash balance was 0 when I returned to the butler house. So I replaced it with real live-in and controlable butlers, using the butler uniform in most of my top notch houses.

Backyard I rarely explored, used the water slider which is fun, and I think the pack included a lemonade serving tray that is very useful.

Yes they do! I have the Seasons DLC, so I usually plan a summer holiday with water activities and send my family to this huge park in Oasis Springs, where I have placed a waterslide. In hot summer days, there is usually a small line of Sims who want to slide, lol!
