Millionaire scenario

That is so cool to hear about these scenarios.

I'm also currently tackling the one million scenario after seeing a few let's plays about it.

Looks like I am taking a very similar route. My sim is also starting out in Henford on Bagley and doing gardening. My sim is focusing on a dragon fruit farm because they have a good selling price. The only plant I won't let her use is the money tree. She is about to double her number of dragon fruit plants to 30 plants. When she has nothing to do, I have her paint and sell the paintings on plopsy. So far I am two weeks in and so far have nearly 44.000 on my sims bank account. But she also had to built a micro home because she started out on an empty plot of land. She is living off the grid with the simple living challenge just to make it a little bit more interesting. I also got her a chicken, a cow and a llama but is turning out to be very much work so she might have to scale down on the farm animals.

@grevilliablue Congratulations! I'm so glad we now have the option to use existing Sims for some scenarios and plan on trying this one soon.

It's always interesting to see how others approach this challenge, and this is quite similar to mine! :)
I also just completed this scenario, and very similar to yours, I also placed my sim in HoB, which seems to be set up well for this type of gameplay. It was rags to riches (no money, no house, no items), living off-grid/simple living in the park in Bramblewood. Most of her earnings were from foraged plants and collectibles sold from the sales table, or to the vendor, at the start. Then from items she received from Sophie and a few of the critters, she was able to start a profitable garden and a chicken coop. Over time, she was able to move to the 64x64 lot to build her house and farm.

My sim was pretty lucky. She was able to acquire a money tree seed from a sales table and found orchid seeds a number of times from Sophie! With the two money trees, her garden and chickens, she completed the scenario in about two seasons (set to long). I also made sure she sold off her produce at the grocery stall during the fair, where she can make a profit of 25 percent. I also limited her sales table at 25 percent.

I am in the middle of mine.
I started my Sims with dumpster diving, and fishing to get some stuff to sell. However, after two Sim days, she is about half-way done. The reason is that she snagged Clement Frost as a husband, not exactly planned for, but a fun twist. She also has a daughter with him. When I get back to her, I plan to have her buy stuff to paint and sew to get the other half of the scenario to complete it.

I had my sims start a retail business that would be helpful to the community.
Part of their money was made by having excursions to Selvadorada. It was annoying trying to get them oufitted from the minimal selections they had availalble to them, so I decided to create a store so all my sims could be outffited properly for thier adventures.

@CK213 that jungle adventure theme store looks great. Now I want to start one too.

I'm currently playing this challenge for about 4 sim weeks and my sim has gathered 700.000 simoleons at this point. Her main income is the dragon fruit orchard which gives over 40.000 worth of daily income.

@Chazzzy plopsy definitely increases the selling price of paintings. My sim managed to paint a masterpiece which could be sold for 10k from the easel and selling through plopsy got her 30k. This is the best selling piece, most of her paintings earn less.

77 days is pretty fast!

It's definitely better selling on Plopsy. My Sim was selling wilted flower arrangements on there that fetched around 20k!

If you buy the creative visionary and marketable traits. And add the inspired lot trait ( paintbrush and book) My sim started selling paintings for higher and higher. So far she hit $19,000 Plus a little more.
