@Simmerville I think you have brought up an interesting point. How detailed do you have to go with skills? I still remember the sims 2 where we only had 7 skills (and a few talent badges with later packs). Activities were sorted into one of these categories. Another good example of splitting skills are musical instruments. In sims 1 and 2 they were all lumped together under creativity alongside with painting. Now in the sims 4 every instrument type has it's own skill. The question is how detailed does the game have to be? The amount of skills to be learned is growing overwhelmingly long. On the other hand it is realistic that someone who can play piano, can't automatically play violin. Sims 4 clearly has chosen for differentiation and a large amount of separate skills. To be consistent with this choice it makes sense for mixology and nectar making to be their own thing. I know people in real life who make their own wine and other people who mix drinks at parties. These are two completely different skills. Nectar making and juice fizzing are more related but since they come in two separate EP they have to be separate skills.
