When i had my old laptop (a few months ago) i couldn't play with mccc. It overheated my laptop. Now i can play with it but decided i prefer to play sims 4 without story progression and i just prefer smaller mods to tweak specific things that i want to change.
Back to your question, well... i don't know. I can't play without mods. At least, not without mods that fix bugs... Eta: ...and mods that fix whims. I play mostly with whims.
