- Unfortunately, there's not an option for my choice. I don't like game the way it is, but I don't trust mods enough to give them access to completely break a game after patches and/or introduce new problems. I don't want to keep up with latest mod updates. That's just extra work for a game that's already been a massive disappointment to me. I don't want a side job working for the upkeep of this game. Also, I shouldn't have to rely on a third party to make a premium game fun to play.
- ? @Prisinkia after a while you notice the same users over and over are doing it lol. I have so much fun with Sims 4 that I could never with sims 3 :)
- No mods, gave is fine as it is.
There's not really much I do like about mods or CC. I don't like the appearance of most CC and I don't care for the idea of waiting until broken mods are updated before I can play new content released by Maxis. I don't often come across mods that seem interesting to me and my playing style. I don't trust mods to not break my game, and I absolutely don't trust myself to not break my game through attempting to add mods to my game.
I definitely get why a lot of people use mods. I see the appeal of MCCC and mods that let players do what the game can't do yet. The body hair CC I've seen has been tempting, even though I don't think it matches the game very well. But, mods and CC super aren't for me. Not for The Sims or for any game, generally. - I just recently started playing S4 again. I quit right after the MFP pack was released. The first thing I did after deciding to play again was to add MCCC. Before I quit, I didn't use any mods or cc. Now I have MCCC and a bunch of others. I was originally going to wait until the game was over before I added mods. But when I saw that there will be at least 3 more years of S4...I didn't want to wait that long to play again because I know what it's like without mods and it can't hold my attention for very long. After adding about a dozen or so mods the game is now much less annoying and much more playable.
- Hermitgirl7 years agoSeasoned AceThere's not an answer for "both" so I can't vote. I have saves that I go to with no mods and saves I only use certain mods in. I may play for months with mods or months purely vanilla. I usually enjoy the game better overall vanilla style but now and then I want to tell stories about things that will never see the light of day in the sims series and never will. One thing is I don't use mods to "fix" my game either way.
- Winifred_Willow7 years agoSeasoned VeteranI prefer playing the game with mods. I can play the game without mods but I feel the game sorely lacks much with out them. MCC is an absolute must as well as default replacements of skin and eyes. Terrain texture replacements are pretty important to me too.
- I see MCCC referenced a lot. What exactly does it do? I know it adds more control, but I was curious about the specifics.
- I'm a very recent mod user! I used to think it was too complicated to bother with but then I took 3 seconds to read about it and I was like oh.... it's just that simple to download lol. I really appreciate mods that add traits and careers etc. because the sims really lacks flavor when it comes to creating multidimensional characters.

It would be simpler to ask what it doesn't do. MCCC handles just about everything in my opinion. It takes care of stupid autonomous actions, adds user controlled story progression, takes care of dumb townie outfits...there is an option for most in-game needs. Take a read through all the documentation when you have time: https://deaderpool-mccc.com/#/doc/overview. I'm still learning what all this thing can do! lol
