Mommy/Daughter Pregnancy

Disclaimer: This was not planned. Celina does not live with her mother. She has maintained a somewhat close relationship with her, but this is the works of MCCC, and you can imagine, I was shocked.

Um, so no one invited Jayme (Celina's mom) to the New Year's Eve house party, but she showed up anyway and lingered outdoors. Celina went to greet her as well as announce her pregnancy to her mom, only to - lo and behold - discover her mother was expecting another baby, too.
At first, she was shocked.

They met up the next day at the Brindleton Bay dog park, and the idea is still crazy to Celina.

They've both since given birth to sons. Celina had a little boy, Dawson. She also has a new half-brother named Todd, who's Dawson's uncle. When I play today, I plan to get Dawson and Todd together for the first time.

  • @CheesySimsLover Awww, that's so cute that Dawson will be able to have play dates with his uncle!
IRL I had an uncle that was just one year older than my oldest brother, they were very good friends growing up. I hope things work out just as well for Dawson!
  • I love this! I am 23 and have a 5 year old brother. Our 21 year old sister recently had a baby. My brother is 4 years older than his nephew. And they both love each other and love spending time together. I have had this happen in game before. It was an interesting and fun dynamic.

Oh gosh. You know, having read the title I thought that this was going to be about something very different.

    Let’s just say I’m glad.

    This is much better :D

Haha, I kind of see what you mean there.

The boys met up for a couple hours before Celina had to go to work.

"Wait, so you're my uncle?" (Dawson - this kid has the best facial expressions just like his mom; I <3 him)

Todd totally looks like the "mature older uncle" (even though he was born a few hours after Dawson)

Not really sure what's going on with Jayme here - when we got there, she was playing video games. Celina started caring for a neglected Todd autonomously then reading to Dawson while Todd played with blocks. Jayme was actually a really good mom to Celina and her brother. Even after she left their dad, she came over and took care of them regularly. Not sure having another child at this point in her life was in her plans, though. It fits her noncommittal lifestyle.

  • Ya know, this whole story reminds me of my real life family. My grandma (my dad's mom) and my mom were pregnant at the same time. My parents were pretty young (19 & 20) when they had my oldest brother. My grandma had my dad's youngest sister 2 months before my oldest brother was born. They were both 11 by the time I came around. And, to add to that, my other grandma (mom's mom), had her youngest daughter a year earlier. Of course, my family is full of things like that.

My mom was raised with my older cousins (there's a 21 year gap between her and her oldest brother). I was my grandma's first grandchild in 30 years! It happens a lot, I think. My mom and stepdad's closest friends have two younger kids that are the same age as their grandchildren.

I'm the youngest of 5, and my sister and I are exactly (to the day) 4 years apart. We're the closest in age. So, I was an aunt by 12 years old. In about a month, I'll be a great aunt, and I'm in my early-to-mid 30s.

I've technically been a great-aunt since I was 13, but I don't associate with my dad's side of the family (for many reasons). My dad was married before my mom and had a whole other family before us. I have many great-nieces and nephews; I've only met one.
