Yup, it's intentional! Check Morgyn's gender settings - while they're set to male, they have custom settings - masculine build, feminine dress preference, can't get pregnant or get others pregnant, and uses the toilet sitting down. This implies they're a gender non-conforming trans man, or nonbinary! (Sim Guru Ninja privately said they thought Morgyn would ID as nonbinary or genderfluid, although that's technically not confirmed in-game.)
