Move in option didn't work as expected

I had my sim ask her romantic interest to move in. I was taken to the split household screen and selected my active household to move in with the romantic interests household with the intent that they would live in his household (Straud Mansion), but when I clicked the checkmark, everyone had moved into my active household. Is that how its supposed to work?

  • No, when you ask a sim to move in, it should take you to manage world section where you can merge the different households. Once that comes up, you should have the choice on who moves in and who does not.

As the post says, that's what happened. But they moved into my active sims house rather than the romantic interests house.

Might be a good call to get this one posted over on The Sims 4 AHQ as if it's a bug there's not much we'll be able to do over here. Best bet would be to get it posted on that side to see if anyone else has had the same issue as you.

I'm going to close this thread off so that discussion of this goes over to AHQ as we don't have any more tech or bug support here.
