My Elder sim won't die....

This is happening in one of my games also. My guy was very near the bar being full on his life so I moved in a young woman , they REALLY liked each other and so he got his lifetime of woohooing in real fast , and days later the bar was full and it stopped telling me how many sim days he had been alive. He got the wife preggers and when the baby was born he was still alive , days later I moved a young guy in to take the old guys spot in the family. Days after that I noticed - hey , what's with the baby , it never needs anything and his old father is still alive,
Anybody know Tuck Everlasting?
Today I plan to only play this family and see what happens , he can't live forever - right?
