So, I too have an elder that just refused to pass on, lol. I never really tried to deliberately kill him, since I mostly found it funny, but it really was getting ridiculous. Two of his grandchildren died of old age, and he was still kicking. One of them had just been born when I got the notice "It's almost Bruce's time", so I made them interact a bunch when she was a kid, cause GRAMPA'S GONNA DIE SOON, but nope, she ended up dying of old age first, lol. So, when I got the wishing well, I started having him wish for "youthful vigor", cause I heard the wishing well can do horrible things, but they kept granting his wish and adding days to his incredibly long life. Finally, wishing well got fed up and turned him into a ghost...but he's still playable and hanging around as a ghost, since the reaper didn't show or anything, he was just immidiately ghostified. But being a ghost is basically just like being alive int his game, so...yeah. He'd basically immortal now, lol.
