Try going to game options and back and see if that helps. Try pressing the M key , then cancel the travel interaction.
Try taking one of your sims into CAS and see if the issue remains.
If the issue remains, type into the cheat bar
testingcheats true
Press enter
Then shift-click on the bodies and choose reset (debug)
