My female Sim is now "a neighbor"

You should be able to fix that with cas.fulleditmode and editing the household.

No, I didn't use the crystal crown. But thanks for the reply. I sent her to her job and when she came back she was still playable, still one of my Sims in the bottom panel, relationships all the same, just says she's a neighbor and she can't access the lot. I could get around that by allowing access to her but the worse problem is I can't click on her to change her clothes or do anything. I can edit her in CAS. I moved her out of the household and into another, then moved her back in and still says she's a neighbor, still won't let me click on her.

Did you try repairing your game after deleting the 'localthumbcache' ? If you use mods and removed one for some reason but didn't delete the localthumbcache afterwards, there might be some residual effects hanging around from that mod. That cache needs to be deleted when you exit the game. Especially after removing mods or after playing for a few hours.

That happened to one of my sims for a while when he was an elder. I thought he was losing his marbles. It sorted itself out after a while. I don't use mods.

Try traveling with her somewhere and then back. I have had similar issue but never had it say she was a neighbour

I tried a bunch more things like deleting local thumb cache and repairing the game again, but she was still a neighbor whose husband could barely interact with her. Then I tried traveling off the lot with both of them to the village and back again. The problem seems to be resolved after leaving the lot. Thanks for all your replies.
