My Lesbian Couple is Having Quadruplets?!?!

In one of my save files, I'm currently playing a lesbian couple. I wanted them to have a kid, so I enabled same-sex try for baby using MCCC. Then, I had each of them initiate woohoo once with risky woohoo set to 15%. In other words, there was a 30% chance of one of the two becoming pregnant. Well... they're BOTH pregnant. With TWINS. So, they're basically having quadruplets!

Idk what to do! Even just one toddler is difficult, so how could I possibly take care of four?! They have no extended family. They live in a one-bedroom home. One has a part-time job and the other is unemployed.

What am I gonna do?!?!

Bake a cake and grow `em up fast, or turn neighborhood aging on and play another house for a week or so. Your sims could always liberate other people from their money by moving in a stranger, then kicking them out.

Maybe I’ll go with the cake one. I don’t really like toddler sims anyways. I mean, they’re cute, but also really difficult to handle.
  • Have the other one get a job with opposing hours so they are bringing in more money but someone is always there for the kids.
  • - Traditional careers are more taxing for the sims than working from home. I suggest quitting the part time job and getting money through other means, the easiest being collecting stuff and selling it right from the inventory. Photography is basically money out of nowhere with very little time investment.

    - This may sound cruel, but all you need to watch is your toddlers' hunger need. None of the other motives can result in the toddler getting taken away. I learned that in my homeless toddler challenge. Toddlers can eat fresh fruit, in case you need to feed them quickly.
  • @EnkiSchmidt One of them maxed the photography skill! She can make money off of that!

I suppose I could just get a buffet table, stock it once a day, and let the tots take care of themselves...

As for social and fun, they can keep each other busy. For bladder, they can poop in their diapers. As for energy, toddlers can put themselves to bed. I guess they’ll all be really stinky, but otherwise alright...
  • What about selectively reducing the amount of kids through MCCC? If that's not an option, you could always put a couple of them up for adoption, by sending them to live with some random person. They could even just be foster parents who are there to help your sims until they're ready to take them back.
  • @Gordy I don’t think I have the heart to reduce the number of kids. It feels too much like abortion.
  • Yeah, I get that. I feel the same way with my sims, too. Though I still recommend foster parenting, which is a good way to ensure the kids are in a loving, stable home.

I wouldn't do that, because it runs the risk that one or both parents being run into exhaustion. i'd have them explore ways to generate funds without seeking a job and can stop what they are doing to help the other parent out in between ways to make money. it would also allow one parent to get some sleep at an ideal moment and be ready to take over when the other starts getting low on energy needs.

Gardening is a possibility, but realistically with four children, you might not have the time to tend to the garden fully if there are more than 6 planters worth of stuff to get to. so that leaves the likes of painting and crafting at a high level to make any significant money from. it might be best to rotate around when possible to get both of them leveled with any free time left to them, and i doubt that would be much, especially when the babies become toddlers. Heaven help you when that happens with four toddlers wondering around! :D

I think 3 toddlers is the limit for a single parent, that is if you catch each of them correctly on their motives and needs.
At one point i had set MCCC to have six children per mother and set the household size to 25. In that instance where the Tormen's had incestous relations, there were 21 tormen toddlers to deal with from 3 teenagers and a young adult.

Take it from someone who tried that, 4 is insignicant in difficulty to what you could face if your sim parents had two more, so you'll end up with 6 screaming, noisy, chaos causing toddlers and keeping on top of what they do is going to be a real issue! hehehe.
  • Well, this is awkward...

It turns out only one of them is pregnant. It was just showing the partner’s pregnancy under the other one. So, it’s twins, not quadruplets.
