@kiwi84, was it the Growing Together Stay over prompt that asks if you need help? If so, when they get to your sim's house, you can welcome them and ask them to help out. At least you can when you invite a sim to stay over. I haven't had the nanny prompt so it may be different.
I've never used the bunny attack option but I'm glad this thread exists. Now I know to avoid that one. I don't kill sims too often though.
