In real life for me I got pretty big up front when carrying, so big in fact that I was mortified to later learn that the maintenance crew I walked by almost daily on the way to area I worked on had bets going if I was carrying more than one.... I WAS only carrying one, thank you very much. Everyone carries differently ;). That said maybe they did make the sims belly pretty big for the possibility of looking like they are carrying more than one.
