My sims are all cold when they're inside the house. Is this just a feature or am I doing something wrong? I have checked all of my roofs, I have checked for gaps in the walls or foundations, as far as I can see, the house is sealed! I know there have probably been loads of questions about this but I don't want to find a new house, I need to know what I'm doing wrong!

Give it up.

It's a bug that's been there since Seasons was released. Have had a bug report with EA since the day it came out.

Never heard of this bug. I have noticed that after Seasons was installed there is a realistic occurrence where if you don't turn on your heat, you get cold.

If you don't heat your home in Winter, your home will be cold. I consider the bug to be the unrealistic rise in bills when using the heat/AC.

Yeah, the heating / cooling cost is unrealistic (yes, if you live somewhere warm you have to set the thermostat to "cooler" in summer, which costs as much).
I have a mod that cuts the cost by 25% I think it is.

The fact that you Sims get cold inside when you haven't turned on the heat and it's cold and snowy outside... that's a "duh" to me. I would be extremely disappointed if that DIDN'T happen.

Mine wear their overcoats (cold weather gear) even if the thermostat is set on warm. I have to manually put them into their casuals. But I haven't seen anyone get cold on community lots though but I haven't had my Sims travel to many of them since winter rolled through. For instance, I took one of my Sims on the talent show case at winter time and it was snowing. Everyone was in their finest (formal wear). I didn't notice a thermostat though. Could have been present as Get Famous comes after Seasons?

That would be fine, if it worked. I see all the time when I have the heat on in winter indoors, I'll still get "Chilled" and "Central Heat" at the same time. Also, every two story home I create, my sims ALWAYS change into cold weather clothes before going downstairs with the heat on.
