Although Enoch had a wonderful time on the date and finally saw some mutual interest from Paisley, he comes home to devastating news. While his father was caught in a blizzard, he had frozen to death. Enoch, being super close to his father, flew into a fit of rage and grief, seeking out Vlad, a well-known vampire, to see if there were supernatural ways to reunite him with his father. Enoch and Vlad do NOT get on well, and Vlad feels offended by this random teen's ignorance of vampire culture. To teach the boy a lesson (as well as inflict unnecessary suffering), Vlad turns Enoch into a vampire!
Enoch isn't quite sure of what's happening, and needs to reach out to his best friend. He calls Camilla over, who is more than happy to talk through his father's death with him...but he sort of "forgets" to bring up the vampire topic in embarrassment for the situation.
Little does Enoch know, this will be the last time he ever sees Camilla before he transforms.
