It's my first time to actively play sims in university. My two sims, living in the same dorm, have somehow come to a bit of money. Most of their funding - I'm assuming - is coming from their scholarships, which is about $1400-1800 per sim. Their funds at the start of each term is something like this (below).
1st Term: started uni with $500, not counting scholarships
2nd Term: $5,000
3rd Term: $33,000
4th Term: $37,000
You can see the biggest jump in funding was between the 2nd and 3rd term, and I still have no idea where the money came from and how this might have happened? Is the money solely from scholarships, or is there some other mechanics of the game I'm unaware of?? I envisioned them struggling to repay their student loans at the end of all this, but I guess I was wrong!
