Pain and Misery are expecting a foal. I already checked in MCCC and know that it'll be a boy. The question is now, what to name him? I'd like to keep the theme going. "Despair" and "Ruin" are already taken by the neighbors' horses (the friends named them together when they started learning to ride).

Agreed, pet genetics leave a lot to be desired. I'm not above cheating, though. I was thinking of using the mom's coat and the dad's color scheme for the foal.

I know it doesn't fit the 'painful' theme, but I want to suggest Chaos - might be an option if the neighbours' horses ever have a foal, it does fit with those names a bit better.

When the "went into labor" notification popped up, I looked around where the mother was and found her asleep.
"Hey, wake up!"
"What's the matter, Finn?"
"You went into labor!"
"Oh, really? I didn't notice."
"Like rider, like horse..." (Misery is the horse of Finn's fiance. He rides Pain.)
At his point Pain came to check on his wife. I don't know if that's normal, but it was cute.

Struggle inherited all his parents' traits (they are identical: Defiant, Independant and Aggressive. This whole batch of horses are the feral descendants of former workhorses from Moonwood Mill). He additionally got "Playful", so I bought him an extra horse ball.

I like that you changed Struggle's coat to be a better mix of both parents.
Horse genetics really seem pointless, since foals are just a copy of either one of their parents. Which is a shame because sims, cats and dogs at least mix (not always in a favourable way, but it's the thought that matters).

Aaarrrgh!! Now I want to have foals too! But I'm too lazy to re-color them... 😅 It's such a shame that the genetics are so bad. 😒
