Naming a new Sim (plus discussing Accidental not-quite-Simselves)

I accidentally create my sim-self once. I was very happily playing as her for a while until I brought her to a new save and was like 'hold on-she looks familiar', and it hit me. I'm not really into playing as my sim-self, kudos to everyone who can, so I stopped playing as her. I tried going back to playing as her but I can't bring myself too :s
As for names, I have a list of names in my notes app on phone and tablet that I update whenever I find a great name :)
