- SheriSimSeasoned HotshotI haven’t updated yet but, for my main rotational save I plan to turn off story progression because sometimes I will mark some families as not played but may play them somewhat later. At least I will turn it off until I see exactly how it works.
For my scenario save I may turn progression off for my played sims and on for my unplayed ones
I also have two legacy saves I haven’t played forever in those I will turn on progression for other households.
When I do have progression on, I will turn off moving and accidental deaths, at least for most households, if not all, accidental death might be a good way to get rid of townies I don’t want. I will probably turn on other households having babies when I decide for my played sims to have them.
I really like all the customization. Story progression might make playing legacy families more fun, so I will revisit them. - manzana0807Seasoned TravelerI was terrified of having Story Progression and so far I really like Neighborhood Stories! I'm really bad about letting my Sims age and die, so I decided to allow the accidental deaths for all my Unplayed households and I have to say, some of them have been really funny.
I do have moving in and out turned off, because I like to control the map and I'm rebuilding and renovating as I go along. I finally turned on pet and child adoptions, but nothing so far. And most of my Unplayed households are single Sims or groups of single Sims I've put together by age, so no babies, but lots of career changes.
I hope they eventually do add dating, marriage, etc. down the line. It's really forced me to rethink how I manage my Sims and it was the breath of fresh air my game really needed. - elliebretonSeasoned Ace@aparkison I agree, I am hoping they add dating and marriage options.
Like most people who answered, I think I will be turning off the move in/move out options. The other settings will probably be adjusted per individual household (for unplayed) and turned off completely for played sims. - SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranMostly just the career settings.
I would love to be able to give certain annoying NPC sims the Accidental Death neiborhood story. And yes, I'm looking at you Agnes Crumblebottom. :D :p >:) - DoloresGreySeasoned NewcomerI disabled moving in and out for everyone. And then for my sims' extended family I disabled moving, adopting and having babies. For my sim's bf family I disabled everything except adopting pets.
- Ive just turned off the death and moving out settings.
Kinda boring so far though. All that is happening is random sims I dont know are moving into houses....and they were kinda doing that anyways coz I checked the 'fill empty houses' box in the old settings! - simsimsereRising ScoutFor other households: Allow everything except move in/out and adopt
For my households (near 200 sims): off
then custom settings of course
I found it interesting how I allowed accidental deaths for some of the households in "my households". Turns out I don't like them all equally >:)
Edit: the babies dropping from left and right were too much for me, it's now also disabled - FatTribble23New ScoutI left the default to not touch my played sims, and then moved every member of my current sims extended family into that category. It's I think 6 families. For the unplayed families I unchecked adopt since I like to watch genetics in play, and move in and out of houses. I have everyone played or unplayed in the house appropriate for them.
I think it might be fun. Someone adopted a cat, and 2 families are expecting babies! - I'll have it on for some loads and off for others. Regardless, if it's on I'll be disabling death because I play in rotation and death/ aging doesn't happen unless I let it. I'm a little nervous about moving due to the amount of family photos I hang up in their homes or work and school rewards on display. If they move without my knowing would I lose that? Most homes are designed for each sim. I might turn that off as well.
I have it on in one load I'm playing now and my vet tech Supria D died which I was bummed about but it did add something to the game. - PurrfectMediocreSeasoned RookieI have nothing enabled for my main family. I have everything except moving and death enabled for the extended family that I only interact with and rarely play. I have everything enabled for everyone else, but after some gameplay I will probably disable moving.
