It has occurred to me that since I only enable aging for unplayed households for a certain length of time in my rotations, I should only enable the neighborhood stories for that duration. So it’ll just happen one week out of 11 instead of constantly. Maybe that’ll make it make sense.
Ooh, now you've made me think. I hadn't looked at it in that way before, but that might be a good idea. I tend to only turn ageing on for unplayed sims one week per sim year as it takes me so long to get around my rotation. So it might be worthwhile only turning on the stories for the period they are ageing, otherwise I may end up with tons of babies everywhere who all age up to toddlerhood once a year lol. - manzana08073 years agoSeasoned Ace

I just had a thought. Has anyone seen sims being "moved in" to an existing household, or have move-ins just been into empty houses?
Before I turned it off, it was just moving Sims into empty houses. I hope eventually it will be refined enough that individual Sims can move out on their own and form new households (marriage and so on). Right now the moving in seems almost the same to me as the Fill Empty Homes setting. I didn't have it on long though, because I didn't like how aggressive it was. - Lucy_Henley3 years agoSeasoned AceI've just got it on the default settings for now, so they're disabled for My Households and enabled for Other Households. I'm quite far into the save I'm currently playing, many of the original premades have died. So it'd be interesting to see what happened if I started a new save, totally from scratch.
- lanlynk3 years agoLegendThanks, @aparkison. I've only had one move-in report so far (first day of this save). It was one new sim moving into an empty home in Brindleton Bay. It would be nice to also see sims moving into occupied homes where there's extra room. Mix it up a bit. ;)

My legacy family had absolutely no allowances I worked too hard on that family.
My other unplayed families I did I turned off accidental deaths and adoptions. I also aged up a lot of the teenagers and kids to give them more options - Sharooonia3 years agoSeasoned AceI'm waiting for "Fall in Love" "Get Married" and "Get Divorced" options before I use it in my game. Currently it seems incomplete but so far it's looking really good, I like all the customization options.
- @babajayne that is a very good idea for rotational players.
I haven't seen any adoption notices so far. I have seen a lot of pregnant ladies at the bar. Is that a problem? - AquaGamer12123 years agoSeasoned AceI’ll be turning it on for Unplayed Households - not in world. I’ll also turn on some settings for Unplayed Households that do have homes. Depending on the household will determine which settings I’ll be turning on or off.

I would like to see these options added as well.
Plus also ‘get a lodger or roommate’ if there is a spare room in the household. - cornflake893 years agoRising Ace

My sim is friends with Travis Scott, he rang to ask if he should go on a date with Grace Anansi. I chose yes and it was a great date. My sim got a cupid heart buff. I'm hoping something will come of this.
Apart from a couple of fix mods I play vanilla.
I've not experienced many adoptions just a couple dogs and only Bella Goth is expecting a baby so far. It's Thursday of the first week and I feel the stories are just ticking along at a good pace :)
Update: So the deaths have started and I may have to turn them off for some of the families or even off completely. They are far more frequent than I expected, almost daily. So many pets being adopted too which, to be honest, I don't mind. I love to see pets in all worlds.
