Elders are having babies, full stop. I can't believe this, it's in defiance of logic and biology LOL. Is anyone else having this issue? I am having a population explosion in my game, which is good because I'm in the fourth generation now and had foolishly let my sim count drop a lot. I just didn't expect some of those having babies to be elderly women. As soon as I realized I scrambled to edit individually every household with a senior female to NO BABIES.
I have adoptions turned off globally so I know these are bio kids. I have MCCC turned on to adopt neglected child, so the poor kids will no doubt get taken in by older sibs or family friends, but still. I DID NOT expect this. I'm actually not mad, just kind of stunned.
Forgive me for quoting myself, but I forgot I took a picture as proof. D'oh. Here is Rahmi Watson, elder, pregnant at one of the restaurants.https://i.imgur.com/PzFjFzP.jpg - elliebreton3 years agoLegend@FatTribble23 lol. Well, she sure looks cute in that outfit.
I guess they need to adjust that setting, someone at EA messed up there. Or maybe, in reality, the beings from another planet have chosen elder women to house their little alien babies. - FatTribble233 years agoSeasoned Ace

@elanorbreton Oh, my what a terrifying thought! And actually I think I remember an episode of the X Files from long ago with that exact plot. Brrrrr...
And yes, I can't believe that elders getting pregnant was intentional. At least I hope not. And silly me, I assumed since I had my MCCC settings to disallow pregnancies for elders, the game would observe that. Well, that's what I get for assuming. - GalacticGal3 years agoLegendI followed the directions from the link given me when I asked how to access the settings. I confess I chickened out when setting random deaths on my own household. I was afraid the game would start targeting Erik again. I'm just too close to his wedding (finally getting a chance to play MWS) to take that very big chance. Perhaps, afterwards?

I have yet to experience this in my game, but I'm right there with you on the notion of being stunned. At my age, having a pregnancy would kill me, let alone giving birth! Yikes. Do you have it set in MCCC that Elders can get pregnant? You may want to double-check that. - GalacticGal3 years agoLegend

Perhaps, Deaderpool, in an updated version will address this? We can only hope. I have it set for Erik's mother to No Children. She's had five already, with four of them being YAs and the youngest just became a Teen. I am thinking I should reset that household, once the older kids head off to Uni, though. Dad my wish to retire, you know? - FatTribble233 years agoSeasoned Ace

@GalacticGal I actually did double check, and yeppers, it's still set for only YA and adult pregnancies. And I am so with you, I turned 60 in December, my baby is 31, and the idea of a baby at my age fills me with indescribable horror LOL. I hate that the game did that to my poor senior citizens!"GalacticGal;c-18081236" wrote:

I am hoping that Deaderpool will address this is an upcoming update. I'm actually going to hang around on Discord a bit this afternoon and see what the chat is. Maybe I'll even be brave enough to suggest it. - GalacticGal3 years agoLegend

Just so you'll know I'm closing in on 67. :open_mouth: - cornflake893 years agoRising AceI am a vanilla player.
I have played a full sim year and have not experienced any elder pregnancies.
Travis Scott in my game has had two crushes and has been on dates with 3 other sims. I checked on his relationship panel and he doesn't even know them. - SheriSim3 years agoSeasoned Ace

My plan is to only have it enabled for my current Sims extended family. Well most likely keep all the options minus move-in/move out. On the fence about adoption.
I'm finding adoption is rather aggressive. I think I had 4 new kids show up last night. I might turn that off globally. It would be AWESOME for building an Orphanage/Boarding school lot and setting up a Caregiver character. In fact, I do have a very large school in my gallery. I might try this out.
Oh, that is a good idea for an orphanage, I might do that!
