New EA App

i would not install such a buggy program it prevented me from loading sims4 had to uninstall and reinstall origin

Are you saying that we have the hours of play counted? Is there a way to repair the game, too? I tried out the Beta app ages ago and reported back those were my concerns. Mostly about the lack of ability to do a game repair.

I can't for the life of me figure out why I would want that app. Playing on my phone would be horrible, I only want to do it in front of my home pc

@Nate_Whiplash1 the app runs on a pc. As far as I know it does NOT run on your phone.

Edit: it's a replacement for the origin game launcher. FYI: when you install it, it uninstalls origin; BUT if you find you don't like the new app you can reinstall origin & everything will be there, at least it was for me..

Ahh, I see. I still don't see any advantage in running it, though

When you open up Origin, do you never get the ad, for lack of a better term, to try out the new Beta App? That's how I discovered it. I went ahead and gave it a try, but that was months ago now. I went back to the regular Origin, which I never uninstalled from my computer.

I had the beta, seemed to be just Origin with a (much needed) cosmetic update. Only thing is I'm not sure that I trust buying through it since it's still in its early stages

I still have the Beta on my computer. I could find nowhere where I could repair my game!

Now, where do I find a way to disable yet another unwanted "friendly reminder" from EA.
This damned thing is annoying me.

I got the app on my pc and it worked fine. I believe you can use either Origin or the app and can go back and forth. I use Origin as well. I got the app because my origin wasn't working, but now I have and can use both. The app is still in Beta.
