New EA/Origin Desktop App.

It's just a new client. Origin is a resource hog and all in all just a pain.

Hopefully EA Desktop will be better. I've been trying the beta and so far has been using a lot less resources in the back than Origin does. There's still a lot missing so I can't say how much better the end product will be, but hopefully it will all in all a lot better.

I will replace Origin somewhere down the line.

Well it seems to have a dark theme at least, from what I have seen on screenshots.

Hopefully it still has an offline mode as well.

If it will let me play without needing to log in/be online, I'll be happy. When the internet goes out is when I want to play Sims the most. :P

I'm just going to wait till I have no other choice but to download it. I don't even use these type of apps. I only have Origin on my PC because it is forced upon me in order to play the Sims games.

It's just a rebranding, nothing to get all worked up.

Thank you for this, I was starting to believe I was the only person in the world who knows how big of a resource hog Origin is while it does it stuff in the background. I will be glad to see Origin go.
