True, but in the same instance, I was much younger in TS2 days and didn't realize value for money, LOL.
For example, Apartment Life has less *new* (as in offer new gameplay not previously in a EP) gameplay items than a Sims 4 GP. And apart from Witches, has no gameplay avenues outside Apartments. And they charged $40 for that.
