New hair colors?

Hopefully we’ll learn more on Tuesday, but it might not be this patch because they said they’re doing more work on the new black hair because it was too ashy.

Did anyone notice a true black swatch in the DHD trailer?

I think the Gothic sim has it in the trailer.

SimGuruJill mentioned during the Maxis life stream from Tuesday (at 17:40) that the new hair colors would be included in the free update for the Dream Home Decorator GP on May 27th.

@Zimz4 we'll find out soon enough! I personally can't wait to add new genes to my game when it comes to hair color.

I hate to gripe about it when there's so much work Maxis still has left to do in order to make Black sims look like actual Black people and not...whatever they were going for with the older hairstyles and skin tones...

But they really haven't hit the sweet spot on the dirty blonde hair color...they need one in between "too blond" and "too brown and what's with those freaky highlights that look gray on some hairstyles?"

I mean, they could ask...oh boy, I've got a type, don't I?...about 80% of my ex-girlfriends to send them pictures from the neck up to give them a color palette to work from...

Just one man's silly gripe but it's always bugged me in CAS.

That colour of yellow (brassy blonde) in the original colour palette reminds me of cat vomit.

I'd love to see an auburn shade in there too!

I do hope that while they're busy updating the hair colors that the Brunette category will also be addressed. Light brown hair is considered to be under the Blond Category in the Real world. The brown hair that has a reddish tinge to it is actually Chestnut-brown hair. I want real light brown hair. And I have no idea, but that I think it's been speculated hair colors are coming in today's patch.
