Hello,EnglishSimmer released a new video today where she showcases MissyHissy's new mod "The personality mod". Basically, you can choose one of TS2 aspirations (as a free aspiration reward trait) and the whims are going to behave according to the trait. There are new whims that make it more like TS2 wants (related to the aspiration) as well as pre-existing whims to fit the mod's traits. It looks cool and is similar to whimsoverhaul in a way, except that your sims' whims now have a common theme similar to TS2 "Wants". Personally I love playing with whimsoverhaul installed because I don't enjoy being an almighty "god" that much in my game and instead try to play according to what my SIM wants as much as the game allows me to. But I understand that TS4 tries to be its own Sims experience and not The Sims 2-2 or The Sims 3.5. Whims are really a nuisance in the game because I love playing with them, I haven’t turned them off in the toggle, I don’t want them swept under the carpet but they are also irrelevant, why does my sim want a bee box so badly? I love the whims overhaul mod and it makes the gameplay make so much more sense. I think I will give this one a try too.

I added this to my game and it’s wonderful. I’m playing the Pleasant household and I gave them both their original Sims 2 aspiration traits. They are getting whims relating to these aspirations and since I like to play with the games direction it has improved the game so much for me.

Whims are very important in Sims gameplay I believe. And what was done with them in TS4 is simply unacceptable. I was on a long hiatus from sims and started playing again only after I've installed Whims Overhaul. Now I'm adding this mod as well. Usage of both make game experience very different and so much better. That's why imo not even emotional system but whims should go first in the list of improvements for TS4.

Does this mod work with Whim Overhaul? Or does it conflict?

@telemwill - I'm going to guess that it won't conflict with anything because of how it works. You have to attach a buyable trait to your sim instead so she didn't overwrite anything and it's standalone.

It works, I use the overhaul myself <3 No known conflicts at this time :)
