New Negative Traits and/or a Flaws System
Hello friends!
So during one of the SimGuru Garage streams, I had posted in chat that I'd like more negative traits and SimGuruRomeo said that he'd love to hear our suggestions.
Upon further thinking, I decided that Sim traits are so few and far between that maybe what would work better is a completely new Flaws system instead. Then it could function alongside the traits so that we could continue to get new ones while still having alternate choices for our Sims' personalities. I was thinking maybe something along the lines of the rewards system that we have, but it shouldn't cost anything to buy Flaws. These "side traits" would add more quirkiness to our Sims and fine tune their differences. I personally love flawed characters because I think they are the most in-depth and interesting, so I'd just love to be able to give more of this to my Sims.
So let's come up with some new optional Traits/Flaws for the Gurus that we'd like to have in our games. Some examples could be:
Easily embarrassed (I wanted this with the Clumsy trait instead of "laughing it off")
Picky Eater (Dislikes random meals)
Unforgiving/Resentful (When another Sim makes them angry they don't just forget about it and move on)
Antisocial (Very difficult to chat up with strangers, causes negative relationships)
Lacks Enthusiasm (emotionally dulled)
Weak bladder (faster bladder decay)
Always hungry (faster hunger decay)
Needy (faster social decay)
Unhygienic (Faster Hygiene decay)
Fatigued (Faster Energy decay)
Easily bored (Faster Fun decay)
Technophobe (Shy away from using computers, phone, etc.)
Creepy (Makes other Sims Tense)
Insensitive (Makes other Sims Angry or Sad)
Narcissistic (Drawn to mirrors)
Scrappy (Picks fights)
Moody (Emotional unpredictability)
Cranky (Randomly yells at other Sims)
No Nonsense (Scolds others for telling stories or too much humor)
So most of these focus on a specific effect, which is why they are a little bit simpler than Sim Traits, but I think that the possibilities are pretty extensive if we have a more streamlined Flaws system that lets us choose two or three in addition to Traits.
