New Opportunities for Old Careers?

I got this with the Entertainer career, just a little event that had me take the opportunity to do an encore and I got a fame point for it!

@MuggyQuasar, Nice. Making me want to try all the old careers to see what additions they have for gaining fame. I'm not all that interested in the new acting career...never been my thing. Ugh, not enough time to do them all quickly though, going to take a while. Be nice if other people shared what has happened with some of their careers.

The time travel thing for the painter was amusing, and an instant +2 fame points was ... shocking. It's changed my Sims' lives overnight.

I am really chuffed reading this. I have several Sims in various old careers that I'd like to see famous or at least well known. Like my painter who already has mastered both the skill and the career, my Zoe Patel which is doing quite well in the Social Media career and both my versions of Darling Walsh and Travis Scott are making really well in Game Tournaments so I believe they should be somewhat famous and experience some knownage. I'd also love to see some of my cooks, critics and novelists experience some adoration.

@Stina1701A, I have 2 sims in my current household, 1 is a painter, 1 is a chef. The painter is already up to 4 Fame stars, it comes very easily for that career. Chef, not quite even 1...but I think I haven't quite figured out what things I have to do for better fame building in that career, it is a work in progress.

The household is still relatively new, and started with just one sim, so skill building and making some money has been a bigger priority up until now...needed to be able to fund house expansion so they can have kids before dieing of old age.

I just made my musician a “B rate” celebrity and my comedian is working on her fame. I think when it comes to old careers you have to include other avenues towards gaining fame like streaming live with the drone, simsagram via phone and using the video desk; besides going to Del Sol and showing off your sims talent. It also helps to make your lot trait a celebrity home.

Gosh. I'm attempting to create a singer in my game. So far, he's up to Rising Star. Do you think I should enter him in the Entertainment Field?

@GalacticGal it wouldn’t hurt, but the whole fame process outside of the “get famous” careers is very tedious. My musician and comedian are both in the entertainment career, and my comedian has nearly maxed out her career (before the exp) but it’s a process getting her fame up...my musician has been slightly easier. I did notice any other career has opportunity to gain fame now as well, I had one sim (in the business career) earn fame by exposing her company’s money laundering.

@JC1979, really easy for painter too. Selling paintings to collectors gives decent fame along with money...and you're going to be painting all the time with that career anyway.

@Stormkeep I’m going have to try painting for fame too. I’m hoping the athlete career gets some fame exposure pretty quickly.

I’ve been supplementing the Comedian branch of the Entertainer career with recording and uploading videos to “SimTube” of my Sim doing his stand up routines or playful Vlogs, which helps get some extra fame in a realistic feeling way.
