As suggested in the title, starting a new save shows all kinds of stuff that is very usefull to new players, but not at all to experienced players.
- Whole worlds full of pre-build homes, I'm spending a lot of time tearing down all residential lots every time I need a new save.*
- Having to go through CAS and create a household, usually I already have a household that I want to put in said new save.
- Having to place a household AND moving to the lot right away, instead of as it works later placing the household but staying in the world. Or, rather, not having to place on at all untill you are ready for it.
These are a few things I would like to see available in starting a new save, or as options of sorts.
I marked the first thing with a * for a reason. I have ofcourse thought about making a save with empty lots and backing that up. However, occasionally I have issues with a corrupted save that are even found in my clean (no mods & unplayed) empty lot save, causing me to have to create a new one, spending hours to demolish all the homes before I can play again.
A little while ago some of these points were listed in the patch notes and then later removed, I wish to put them back on the agenda.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks for considering the possibilities!
... anyway, I was referring to OP and specifically the bolded bullet point above. This is about starting a new save, so where is the household you "already have" coming from if not from your library or the gallery? Is the family you "already have" a pre-made family? Even if that were the case, why could an "experienced player" not create a dummy household, move them in and go to "Manage Worlds" to choose any pre-existing household they want? After you choose your family you can delete the dummy household you created. You just need at least one existing household marked as played, as any "experienced player" knows. If any of you could answer that - with words not gifs or jpgs - that would be great.
