I'd be totes down for more occults AFTER a Generations-type pack, simply because the game is in need of it. It would help improve the core of the game, which is what TS4 really needs. Adding more occults before doing something to the core game would just follow the same pattern of adding more fancy decorations onto an unstable foundation like the recent packs have done.
@Bluelle But that's exactly my arguement against a Generations pack. If a pack like this has features so important to the core of the game, why isn't it in the base game. DLC is supposed to expand the game in different directions, not improve its core. That's the base game's job. And I personally do not think it's okay to pay more for something so crucial to a life simulation game. That's what I thought with the Sims 3 Generations as well.
If we start relying on DLC to make the life stages fleshed out and fun, which are one of the most important base game features, then I think we're missing the point.
I personally don't want free babies, more activities for kids and teens and improved life states in a DLC. At least this to me is a feature the base game should cover. Just my opinion really.
Because it's EA, and EA wants to make money? It's really that simple.
Same can be said for Seasons and even Pets. Both of those things are also very important in a life simulation game, yet they still are EP's.
We are talking about The Sims 4 here. Even with a bazillion of DLC's, the game is still lacking..
In fact the Sims 4 is all about relying on DLC (and mods) to make the game more ''fun'' (short term), this is because indeed the basegame and the core of the game itself is still lacking after almost 7 years..
EA isn't a charity. If they know they can make money somehow, they gladly will take advantage of that.
@rudy8292 Thing is you don't have to put up with it. I know I won't. Not getting Generations if it's ever released.
But yeah back on topic, I think even though there are other things that we might need in the Sims 4 I'm glad for more occult stuff and I hope that the stuff that needs to be added like family gameplay will come with the next EP instead of this pack which I'm guessing will be a GP.
And that's totally fine. If the next pack is occult related, It's fine by me.
We all have different priorities and we all get fun out of different things, and that's not a bad thing.
In the end I just hope that we all get what we want. :)
@rudy8292 No, I want Generations, I'm just not buying it so I don't support the concept of paying for stuff that imo should be base game. Even if I want the pack I won't get it. That's what I meant, guess it didn't come across.- I'd like aspirations that are shared across households, an aspiration that isn't super easy to get but is shared by every member of the family. I also think adding in some more gameplay for children and teenagers would be nice? Kids being able to go out and play tag, have sleepovers and slumber parties, etc etc.
I would also love werewolves, I think that making a werewolf pack using the group function would be insanely fun! I just hope they look a bit better than the werewolves in TS3 looked. - DomainGoat90New Spectator

1. You can only play in one world until Monday morning. What world do you choose and what lot do you start on? I choose Kelona. You know that Kelona only works if you are playing with Fairy sims and the new Elves.
2. You can only play in one world until Monday morning. What world do you choose and what lot do you start on? I choose Hunter Cape. You know that Hunter Cape only works if you are playing with Wolf sims and the new Monsters.
3. You can only play in one world until Monday morning. What world do you choose and what lot do you start on? I choose Trypton. You know that Trypton only works if you are playing with Superhero sims and the new Elementals.
My wild guess is a faries/wearwolves expansions! Maybe that's why the sims twitter (Spanish version) posted a sim with body hair. Odd timing. Then this comes along.
Really could be anything though but I'm having a good feeling about wearwolves and fairies?โโ๏ธ?โโ๏ธ - SheriSimSeasoned Hotshot

I could deal with Superheros! :p
Iโm not looking for super heroโs, Iโd much rather have babies, generations, farming, schools or even werewolves than superheroeโs. But thatโs not saying I will get what I want each and every time. And Iโm sure that there will be some who would enjoy it. I just hope itโs not like Batuu where you canโt live there ( unless it is something like school or a new workplace where you donโt normally live there anyway, both of which I would be pleased to get ). It could also be a vacation world which would be fine if you have hotels, where you can stay.... and not like Batuu where it is a rabbit hole hotel, but a hotel you can actually see and interact with your sims inside. Or even a cruise ship going from port to port, but you can interact with your sims on during the trip as if itโs a lot you are on, and then when you get to each destination you can deport (to a new lot). Genies, Fairies or Werewolves with a Moonlight Falls World would be so great.
I'd really like if they did something different with Fairies this time around....
I'd love to see something similar to what they have in Freeplay, but exclusively for fairy sims.

They made a world with gigantic vegetation where sims look really tiny (making them really feel like actual fairies). The tree stump house is genius, is a shell much like how apartments in TS3 are, you place it on the lot and build inside it. Hopefully Maxis codes fairies to not show their wings all the time too, because they were really obnoxious in TS3.

But occult players just got a occult pack earlier this year cant they wait another 4 years as family players have since Parenting. I'm only half kidding.
I agree, but you know.. at this point (after 7 years) I really don't care anymore. It's not worth complaining about what's next anymore anyway, since they do whatever they want and I'm tired of it to be honest.
The excitement about the next packs is long gone for me. The good old days counting down to release and anticipating the next pack are long gone.
I just hope that in the end we, family players, will get what we want. Whenever that is going to be.
I am not an occult player myself, but if the next pack is occult related, fine. It's not like they were going to magically hold that pack back to give us Generations first if their plan is to release the occult pack first anyway.
I haven't bought a single kit, I haven't opened the game in literally months and so far I don't really feel like I am missing much anyway.
I'll just wait and see. - I hope it's not superheroes. What would they even do? There's no crime in the game, so there's nothing for them to fix.
I also imagine the gameplay would be repetitive and boring after awhile, similar to the Careers in Get to Work and the story in Strangerville. Yawn.
I'm more interested in Fairies or a Supernatural. What I really want is a Generations or School related pack, but I doubt it's gonna be that. - This more likely an occult pack. I mean Generations is one of their highly requested Expansions. IF I was EA/Maxis I would definitly take advantage of that and release it on holidays to get more sales. I doubt that they will release it other than the holidays.
