I loved the sneak peek of Nifty Knitting - I think it looks like the best stuff pack yet, but we'll see! We also now know that children can knit!! Children can't really do much in TS4 - can't cook, ride bikes, exercise, or use any skillbuilding items (workbench, easel, etc.) But now children can KNIT and even be taught to knit. Also we can dress babies in knitted onesies. Do you think this could be the first step toward a children/babies update in the future?

I hope children can do more things over time like gardening, riding bikes or baking cookies. They can't paint but at least they got their own drawing table. But for now I am really happy they can knit. It is so nice to see them getting the attention they deserve, first candle making and now knitting. I am also really looking forward to babie onesies.

Children have never been able to cook in any iteration. Only thing I remember them is having like a easy bake oven in S2 which they could make a cupcake of sorts and maybe something else I believe. I'd like to see a similar item like that return back to the game and definitely would like to see child sized bikes. Children and lower have always been limited in what they're allowed to do. Which is fine, but having more child related stuff for them to do would be great.They've been slowly adding more things for children to participate in for sure. I know IL is pretty lacking, but watching kids be able to build sandcastles and just play in the sand is nice.Hoping to see more activities for the younger stages for sims, since many have complained they wanted more things for older sims to be doing. That and glad they took the feedback from players in being able to knit things for babies. Hope their can be more things like that for babies even if they can't be freed from the bassinet.

It was as it had the same model for it, but I remember it most from Sims 2. :)

@LadyKyn Not true. They had kiddie ovens and they could bake cupcakes, I believe it was. Just no cooking on the real stove.

That is nice! Kids need more fun stuff to do and this might be a deciding factor if i end up buying this.

Maybe they are finally hearing us. Kids need to be able to interact with the main feature in every new pack, have a child equivalent, or have a special interaction of learning the skill or object with an older sim with high relationship. This alone makes me really excited for this stuff pack (which I've been really fed up with stuff packs lately).

Like for Eco Lifestyle. Why aren't there school projects for kids that teaches mental/fabricating & gardening skills. Or specially fabricated toys for toddler/kids to play with. Maybe upgrade the chemistry set to make slime. Bring back the toy oven, bake sale & lemonade stand for the market lot. Or simply allow them to play classic outside games without the need of some huge object.

Hopefully this pack sets us on the path of making sure all life stages can do something with pack content. It should never be that "no one plays kids/toddlers" or "this theme doesn't fit kids/toddlers".

I really love that adults can teach kid to knit too. Nice to have another thing they can do together.
