No hate, but how can a game from 2014 have such terrible AI?

I think it all boils down to the fact that the game is so focused on emotions and a combination of other things, that things like personalities, quirks, and social rules have been neglected. Sims are completely controlled by emotions and their behaviors will be decided based on their emotion. I do believe that in the area that I mentioned, Sims 4 is lacking on that compared to previous generations.
