No heatwaves/Thunderstorms in Sulani during summer/spring?

I've passed from first day of spring til end of summer not a day was having heatwaves or tropical storms just warm or hot days and sometimes cool at night.. Where are these awesome thunderstorms they...

I started out in Winter in Sulani, and it was then I was getting this in the middle of the season. I play on the longest season settings.
