No Longer Able to Extinguish Fires

Is there suddenly an issue with sims being able to extinguish fires? I can click on the fire and select extinguish but it always X's out and the sim waves his or her hand as if there's a routing issue (this has happened at more than one location and one house so there is no routing issue). Also, every single time I try to use the fire pit there is a fire. It's starting to get annoying to watch every sim at a party run to the street and waves there hands in distress because there's a fire and you can't do anything but wait for it to burn out. Is this a new bug?

Someone else had mentioned it already, so i'm guessing it is a sort of a bug...maybe @rosemow would know?

I had 3, all on the same day and no extinguish issues. That was some Summerfest though. So many fireworks :worried:

I've noticed that if the fire is on only 'one square' so to speak of the game that you can't put out the fire. If it moves to cover more than one square the option doesn't cause the issue I mentioned above.

I've never had an issue with fires before, but lately it's getting ridiculous.

I've had this issue before but it corrected itself. I know I had several fires during game play the other day and was able to put out all of them fortunately. *As a side note: I didn't realize your Christmas tree will catch fire. Made for an exciting Winterfest.

i had a backyard fire last evening and literally had to quit out of the game and go back 4 hours...(silly me didn't save as often as I normally do). Why won't my sims extinguish it? What happened to the fire dept coming out when one had a smoke alarm installed?

No problems here. Caused by a mod? My Sim has just extinguished Izzy Fabulous who set himself on fire when trying to cook on a barbecue. Unfortunately now Izzy is going round in the nude in Granite Falls. Is that a bug! :p

I just had a fire last night from a barbecue and my Sim had no problems extinguishing herself or the barbecue. She was quick about it too. The barbecue wasn't totalled either.
