Nobody will come to lot
I’m living on the residential lot in San Myshuno, same building as the karaoke bar. My sim called her friend to invite to hang out at current lot and they said they’d come over, but it’s been two days...

Thanks for all of the replies! The lot is definitely set to residential, has a mailbox and even had one neighbour come over to welcome to neighbourhood (although he comes back to do it again every time I resume my game).
I’ll try the focus camera idea, resetting the mailbox and will try deleting and replacing the front door.
I reset my sim, but that didn’t work either.
Other issues I’m having in this save are that she often “goes to work” but never leaves home, and her icon stays greyed out. If she works from home, her work day never ends. Maybe it’s just that community lots in that spot (it’s originally the gym in San Myshuno) just bug out as residential?
