Not Wanting Sims 5 Because Spent Money On Packs

I've seen a few people say that they don't want sims 5 because they spent money on packs. I can't seem to wrap my head around this logic. Can someone who thinks this way explain? The Sims games won't...

At this point in my life, I'm not sure I want to invest in a game that will last longer than I will. There are still a lot of things I've yet to do in Sims 4 that will give me plenty of time. If the rumors are actually true that Sims 5 will be multiplayer, you can count me out; I'll stick with Sims 4 and once I know there will be no more updates I can start using CC. :) That doesn't mean I'll be upset if they start development on Sims 5, as long as Sims 4 is still supported at least for bug repair for a couple of years.
