Now, That Was Funny!

My singer Sim is creeping his way upward, just shy of his third star. He has a friend who calls him to lounge in Del Sol (the not so popular one). He's doing his thing, introduces himself to an Adult Sim who came to watch as he played the guitar and sang a song ( a +fame interaction). Then he signs his autograph for the female who gets all-aflutter with excitement. It was cute.

So, since he's less than 1/16th of an inch to becoming a 3-Star, I have him perform a "musical scene" for tips. It's always the same scene and normally speaking he does it well. However, this time he's nearing the end, doing the singing bit and suddenly starts coughing. I've never seen that before and it struck me as rather funny. After he bowed, I had him order drinks for the group and he ordered some food for himself, since he's hungry.

Please share your funny moments with GF.

I don't know if you've ever seen the Carol Burnett show, but they constantly tried to crack each other up.

The one person that was hardest to crack was Tim Conway, until Vickie Lawrence managed it magnificently.

So far my one moment, not so much hilarious but funny in its own way, was my sim, a nobody in the celebrity world, was visiting a club in Del Sol just to get a feel for the region as well as check out the club I had downloaded (Sim Supply's Chez Semaj). Her roommate had tagged along and was making her own waves with her One-Stariness, and not doing too well. Meanwhile, Zero-Star is getting into a conversation with the bartender, trying to make at least one acquaintance, you know, and another sim chimes in and things are going along great. It wasn't long before I realized the other sim was Octavia Moon, a B-Lister. I was rather agape that my nobody sim had managed to start an acquaintance with a 3-star Celebrity, simply because of a shared conversation with the bartender. Not only that, but had even started a bit of a flirtation, and Octavia is married! Meanwhile my sim's roommate had gotten bored and gone home. It was such a ludicrous event I will never forget. I am pretty sure I couldn't achieve that while actually trying for it, and I am going to preserve that save file.

My actor sim was playing a scene where the cowboy sheriff is supposed to slide open the jail cell and lock up the Black Lagoon monster. They do their speaking parts, the sheriff turns, grabs the cell door and it won't open. Both "actors" break down laughing and the director yells CUT, so I guess it was a good scene.

I've had a blooper too. My sim shot herself in the plum with a Sim Ray during a fight scene

Yeah, things like that happen in live theatre all of the time. I've seen TV shows being filmed live and the goof-ups that occur are hilarious. Sometimes, it's all the actors can do to stay in character and not crack up themselves.

I watched that all of the time — as in every week! If memory serves it was Tim Conway who used to promote the laughter. I know he used to work on Harvey Korman all of the time. Just watching them trying to keep their faces composed was always a good time. :)
