Oasis Springs Map Issue?

I'm working on a house on the Arid Ridge lot of the Skyward Palms neighbourhood in Oasis Springs. Before I entered the lot for the first time, it showed as sandy on the map, much like it does in the picture of the map here. I entered it in build mode and was surprised to find the lot and the surrounding area/other lots grassy. When I go back to the main map, it now shows Arid Ridge as green and everywhere around it still appears sandy.

I don't have any huge preference for sand or grass (although sand makes more sense in the desert...), but it really stands out on the map as this bright green rectangle. I could use terrain tools to make it fit in on the map, but then it would look weird when I'm playing on it as it wouldn't match the surrounding area anymore.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to resolve it?

  • It is grassy on the Lot because it's in a grassy area. Did you add a different grass terrain or just leave it with the default?

Mine is the default grass, which shows up as a sandy area from map view.

I added a hill with the terrain tool, but didn't change any of the colourings.

I'm doing what @Sindocat has suggested and leaving it to look right in Live Mode.
  • Unfortunately the map of oasis springs does not show the neighbourhoods correctly. I think it would have been better if the map showed which neighborhoods are desert and which have grass.
